Pyramid Principle
--- Logic in Thinking,Writing,Problem Solving

Today, the topic of my speaking is Pyramid Principle. Has everybody got a sheet?
Let me introduce myself at first. I am Fu Yongchao.14 years ago, I left for Beijing came from Gansu Zhangye. So I have a strong Gansu accent. I’m always confused with "s" and "th". Just as one of you described last time. And I could not speaks English fluently
I have some difficulty in expressing myself in English. So you have to pay attention to listening to my presentation.

As we know, The biggest problem in Corporate China is not lack of money & projects, but advanced management concepts. The biggest problem for managers in Corporate China is not lack of ability & experience, but outstanding professional quality. Especially, quite a number of us lack of logic in thinking, writing & problem solving indeed.
We must face up to the fact that we are lacking of Logical Thinking. How to face the fact?
Fortunately, Pyramid Principle can help us building our Logical Thinking System. Determine the Issue is the key point, then we’11 take Structural Analysis. At last through Resources Conformity we can realize Logical Thinking step by step.


Ⅰ.About Determine the Issue:
1. Write a preface like telling a story
We always divide our article into tow portion. A small portion of the whole is used to make a statement to the background. Which is named preface. preface is being consist of s,c&q. The other portion is used to answer the question. Which is named straight matter.
2. One sentence contains no more than 30 words
Provided that fill out Figure 1 with a company’s SCQ & A. Each blank frame is being needed no more than 30 words
3.Use substantial words (no non-sense words) to determine the issue and then analyze it structurally
Have I made myself clear?
For example, if I want to tell you that prepare resource for presentation is very important, I can use a story as my preface. such as the king and the artist`s story which could be recited by all of us. In this preface, S is that the king asked artist to draw him a beautiful horse. C is that the artist drew a beautiful horse in 5 minutes yet he let the king wait for a year. Q is that why did not the artist draw a horse immediately when the king asked for. Thus, All of my straight matter will be outspread around the A that prepare resource is important, as is the artist said, "It took me more then a year to learn to draw a beautiful horse in 5 minutes. "

Ⅱ.About Structural Analysishat’s the point.
1. List all options which will achieve the goal by independent thinking, brain storming & help from others. Then partition all those options into three big sets and each big set contains 3 small sets.
Any questions?
2. Analyze the relationship between the big sets and small sets, then determine which logic should be used for structural analysis : induce logic or deduce logic ?
Has anybody else anything to say on this?
3.After find the solution, ask help and support immediately if needed.

Ⅲ.About Resources Conformity:
Whether to start a new project/product depends on the following 3 things :

1.No profit, do not do it
2.Profit, but no seed money, do not do it
3.Profit, seed money, but no proper team------human resource, do not do it.

Analyzing market consensus is the key to whether start this project/product or not.
